Solomon Islands Partnership

From 2014 - 2019, Holy Trinity supported a  team who spent two weeks in the community of Buala in the Province of Isabel, Solomon Islands.
Why did we go?
•To honour Christ and focus on justice, mercy and faith as Jesus speaks about in Matthew 23.
•To fulfill the obligations of the Diocesan M.O.U. and continue to build relationships through parish links
•To encourage local networking between parishes, local schools, Rotary clubs, sporting groups, local community action events and the wider Diocesan mission community.
•To build awareness of others needs in the world and how we can make a difference

We did this by:
Walking in relationship and ministry together – nothing is done without
- discussions with the local chiefs and community leaders
- ensuring our programs are culturally sensitive and sustainable
